It is truly amazing what four days away from real life can do for you, body and soul. Well, mainly soul as I drank for all four days, but oh well. Edinburgh has "creative learning" week which is basically a fancy way to say a week off from school. I decided that I needed a … Continue reading Loneliness: An Update
Admitting to myself that I’m lonely is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. I mean, why should I feel lonely? I have been living in Scotland for 5.5 months pursuing a masters degree at my top grad school. I have a trip planned to the Canary Islands and Amsterdam in the coming … Continue reading Being Lonely, Not Alone

I love to cook, almost as much as I love to eat. However, living by myself opened up a whole host of challenges in the cooking department (not so much with eating). It took me forever to figure out how to make meals for just me, how much is acceptable to spend on a week's … Continue reading Cooking for One: 5 Tips
Fast forward to today. I’m still a hot fucking mess. I quit my first job (that I absolutely hated) with no job lined up and I still couldn’t tell you the last time I looked at a treadmill, especially considering I canceled my gym membership about two months ago. But, I have the most amazing, supportive, funny, loving group of friends, and maybe a little too active for a social life.
